Forged Through Fire
Forged Through Fire
I will tell yu a Parable the Lord had given me, for all his children under the kingdom of God.
There was once a blacksmith somewhere in the world And the Mastercraftsman, who is an excellent sword maker, One day as he was looking for new materials to work with, he then find an Iron and a copper, he took it both to his Blacksmith, he then tried making sword out of the two elements.
The iron and copper melted together to create a sword, and he start to forge it but once the beating hammering and grinding and fire rages starts he notices that the Copper began to crack, while the iron bends but doesn't break, he then discarded the copper one and chooses to continue to sharpen the Iron sword untill it met his desires.
What does forging means?
make or shape (a metal object) by heating it in a fire or furnace and beating or hammering it.
James 1:2-4
[2]Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles of any kind come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy.
[3]For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow.
[4]So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing.
Test faith for abraham
Romans 4:17-22
[17]That is what the Scriptures mean when God told him, “I have made you the father of many nations.” This happened because Abraham believed in the God who brings the dead back to life and who creates new things out of nothing.
[18]Even when there was no reason for hope, Abraham kept hoping—believing that he would become the father of many nations. For God had said to him, “That’s how many descendants you will have!”
[19]And Abraham’s faith did not weaken, even though, at about 100 years of age, he figured his body was as good as dead—and so was Sarah’s womb.
[20]Abraham never wavered in believing God’s promise. In fact, his faith grew stronger, and in this he brought glory to God.
[21]He was fully convinced that God is able to do whatever he promises.
[22]And because of Abraham’s faith, God counted him as righteous.
Jobs faith was Tested through fire
Job 2:1-10
[1]One day the members of the heavenly court came again to present themselves before the lord, and the Accuser, Satan, came with them.
[2]“Where have you come from?” the lord asked Satan.Satan answered the lord, “I have been patrolling the earth, watching everything that’s going on.”
[3]Then the lord asked Satan, “Have you noticed my servant Job? He is the finest man in all the earth. He is blameless—a man of complete integrity. He fears God and stays away from evil. And he has maintained his integrity, even though you urged me to harm him without cause.”
[4]Satan replied to the lord, “Skin for skin! A man will give up everything he has to save his life.
[5]But reach out and take away his health, and he will surely curse you to your face!”
[6]“All right, do with him as you please,” the lord said to Satan. “But spare his life.”
[7]So Satan left the lord’s presence, and he struck Job with terrible boils from head to foot.
[8]Job scraped his skin with a piece of broken pottery as he sat among the ashes.
[9]His wife said to him, “Are you still trying to maintain your integrity? Curse God and die.”
[10]But Job replied, “You talk like a foolish woman. Should we accept only good things from the hand of God and never anything bad?” So in all this, Job said nothing wrong.
Job Passed the Test
Job 42:10-17
[10]When Job prayed for his friends, the lord restored his fortunes. In fact, the lord gave him twice as much as before!
[11]Then all his brothers, sisters, and former friends came and feasted with him in his home. And they consoled him and comforted him because of all the trials the lord had brought against him. And each of them brought him a gift of money and a gold ring.
[12]So the lord blessed Job in the second half of his life even more than in the beginning. For now he had 14,000 sheep, 6,000 camels, 1,000 teams of oxen, and 1,000 female donkeys.
[13]He also gave Job seven more sons and three more daughters.
[14]He named his first daughter Jemimah, the second Keziah, and the third Keren-happuch.
[15]In all the land no women were as lovely as the daughters of Job. And their father put them into his will along with their brothers.
[16]Job lived 140 years after that, living to see four generations of his children and grandchildren.
[17]Then he died, an old man who had lived a long, full life.
1 Peter 1:6-9
[6]So be truly glad. There is wonderful joy ahead, even though you must endure many trials for a little while.
[7]These trials will show that your faith is genuine. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold—though your faith is far more precious than mere gold. So when your faith remains strong through many trials, it will bring you much praise and glory and honor on the day when Jesus Christ is revealed to the whole world.
[8]You love him even though you have never seen him. Though you do not see him now, you trust him; and you rejoice with a glorious, inexpressible joy.
[9]The reward for trusting him will be the salvation of your souls.
Sometimes we Go to this testings in our life to see the dexterity or how much faith have we build up in our Christian life, that could be through sicknesses, Problems with your families, Loss, even financially and spiritually.
Isaiah 48:10
[10]I have refined you, but not as silver is refined.
Rather, I have refined you in the furnace of suffering.
Psalms 66:8-12
[8]Let the whole world bless our God
and loudly sing his praises.
[9]Our lives are in his hands,
and he keeps our feet from stumbling.
[10]You have tested us, O God;
you have purified us like silver.
[11]You captured us in your net
and laid the burden of slavery on our backs.
[12]Then you put a leader over us.
We went through fire and flood,
but you brought us to a place of great abundance.
Just like a sword to be labeled as usable it must be tested in battle in bending in many things so must our faith be tested to reveal the hidden weakness in us that we may ask our MasterCraftsMan to help us in our weaknesses, that our faith will be made complete.
Romans 5:3-5
[3]We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance.
[4]And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation.
[5]And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love.
Acts of the Apostles 14:22
[22]where they strengthened the believers. They encouraged them to continue in the faith, reminding them that we must suffer many hardships to enter the Kingdom of God.
We must be glad when testing comes to us, to that we know that we are in right Path. For Jesus suffered and is tested, So are we, a student is not greater than his teacher.
1 Peter 4:12-19
[12]Dear friends, don’t be surprised at the fiery trials you are going through, as if something strange were happening to you.
[13]Instead, be very glad—for these trials make you partners with Christ in his suffering, so that you will have the wonderful joy of seeing his glory when it is revealed to all the world.
[14]If you are insulted because you bear the name of Christ, you will be blessed, for the glorious Spirit of God rests upon you.
[15]If you suffer, however, it must not be for murder, stealing, making trouble, or prying into other people’s affairs.
[16]But it is no shame to suffer for being a Christian. Praise God for the privilege of being called by his name!
[17]For the time has come for judgment, and it must begin with God’s household. And if judgment begins with us, what terrible fate awaits those who have never obeyed God’s Good News?
[18]And also,
“If the righteous are barely saved,
what will happen to godless sinners?”
[19]So if you are suffering in a manner that pleases God, keep on doing what is right, and trust your lives to the God who created you, for he will never fail you.
Ephesians 3:16-21
[16]I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit.
[17]Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong.
[18]And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is.
[19]May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God.
[20]Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think.
[21]Glory to him in the church and in Christ Jesus through all generations forever and ever! Amen.
