Cost of Disobedience

Cost of Disobedience

Brothers and Sisters may i ask you what are the consequences if Disobedience to God,

Disobedience is something you refuse to obey, Knowing the truth and its consequences but still choose to Rebel or disobey. in day to day life, sometimes we are careless that our mouth or thoughts can wonder off, or unknowingly sinned against God because of or weak nature, But somehow disobedience is different.

Adam and Eve Disobey
Genesis 3:1-13,16-19
[1]The serpent was the shrewdest of all the wild animals the lord God had made. One day he asked the woman, “Did God really say you must not eat the fruit from any of the trees in the garden?”
[2]“Of course we may eat fruit from the trees in the garden,” the woman replied.
[3]“It’s only the fruit from the tree in the middle of the garden that we are not allowed to eat. God said, ‘You must not eat it or even touch it; if you do, you will die.’”
[4]“You won’t die!” the serpent replied to the woman.
[5]“God knows that your eyes will be opened as soon as you eat it, and you will be like God, knowing both good and evil.”
[6]The woman was convinced. She saw that the tree was beautiful and its fruit looked delicious, and she wanted the wisdom it would give her. So she took some of the fruit and ate it. Then she gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it, too.
[7]At that moment their eyes were opened, and they suddenly felt shame at their nakedness. So they sewed fig leaves together to cover themselves.
[8]When the cool evening breezes were blowing, the man and his wife heard the lord God walking about in the garden. So they hid from the lord God among the trees.
[9]Then the lord God called to the man, “Where are you?”
[10]He replied, “I heard you walking in the garden, so I hid. I was afraid because I was naked.”
[11]“Who told you that you were naked?” the lord God asked. “Have you eaten from the tree whose fruit I commanded you not to eat?”
[12]The man replied, “It was the woman you gave me who gave me the fruit, and I ate it.”
[13]Then the lord God asked the woman, “What have you done?”“The serpent deceived me,” she replied. “That’s why I ate it.”
[16]Then he said to the woman,
“I will sharpen the pain of your pregnancy,
and in pain you will give birth.
And you will desire to control your husband,
but he will rule over you.”
[17]And to the man he said,
“Since you listened to your wife and ate from the tree
whose fruit I commanded you not to eat,
the ground is cursed because of you.
All your life you will struggle to scratch a living from it.
[18]It will grow thorns and thistles for you,
though you will eat of its grains.
[19]By the sweat of your brow
will you have food to eat
until you return to the ground
    from which you were made.
For you were made from dust,
and to dust you will return.”

The Disobedience of the Fallen Angel.

Genesis 6:1-8
[1]Then the people began to multiply on the earth, and daughters were born to them.
[2]The sons of God saw the beautiful women and took any they wanted as their wives.
[3]Then the lord said, “My Spirit will not put up with humans for such a long time, for they are only mortal flesh. In the future, their normal lifespan will be no more than 120 years.”
[4]In those days, and for some time after, giant Nephilites lived on the earth, for whenever the sons of God had intercourse with women, they gave birth to children who became the heroes and famous warriors of ancient times.
[5]The lord observed the extent of human wickedness on the earth, and he saw that everything they thought or imagined was consistently and totally evil.
[6]So the lord was sorry he had ever made them and put them on the earth. It broke his heart.
[7]And the lord said, “I will wipe this human race I have created from the face of the earth. Yes, and I will destroy every living thing—all the people, the large animals, the small animals that scurry along the ground, and even the birds of the sky. I am sorry I ever made them.”
[8]But Noah found favor with the lord.

Isaiah 14:12-15
[12]“How you are fallen from heaven,
O shining star, son of the morning!
You have been thrown down to the earth,
you who destroyed the nations of the world.
[13]For you said to yourself,
‘I will ascend to heaven and set my throne above God’s stars.
I will preside on the mountain of the gods
    far away in the north.
[14]I will climb to the highest heavens
and be like the Most High.’
[15]Instead, you will be brought down to the place of the dead,
    down to its lowest depths.

Disobedience of King Saul

1 Samuel 15:3-23
[3]Now go and completely destroy the entire Amalekite nation—men, women, children, babies, cattle, sheep, goats, camels, and donkeys.”
[4]So Saul mobilized his army at Telaim. There were 200,000 soldiers from Israel and 10,000 men from Judah.
[5]Then Saul and his army went to a town of the Amalekites and lay in wait in the valley.
[6]Saul sent this warning to the Kenites: “Move away from where the Amalekites live, or you will die with them. For you showed kindness to all the people of Israel when they came up from Egypt.” So the Kenites packed up and left.
[7]Then Saul slaughtered the Amalekites from Havilah all the way to Shur, east of Egypt.
[8]He captured Agag, the Amalekite king, but completely destroyed everyone else.
[9]Saul and his men spared Agag’s life and kept the best of the sheep and goats, the cattle, the fat calves, and the lambs—everything, in fact, that appealed to them. They destroyed only what was worthless or of poor quality.
[10]Then the lord said to Samuel,
[11]“I am sorry that I ever made Saul king, for he has not been loyal to me and has refused to obey my command.” Samuel was so deeply moved when he heard this that he cried out to the lord all night.
[12]Early the next morning Samuel went to find Saul. Someone told him, “Saul went to the town of Carmel to set up a monument to himself; then he went on to Gilgal.”
[13]When Samuel finally found him, Saul greeted him cheerfully. “May the lord bless you,” he said. “I have carried out the lord’s command!”
[14]“Then what is all the bleating of sheep and goats and the lowing of cattle I hear?” Samuel demanded.
[15]“It’s true that the army spared the best of the sheep, goats, and cattle,” Saul admitted. “But they are going to sacrifice them to the lord your God. We have destroyed everything else.”
[16]Then Samuel said to Saul, “Stop! Listen to what the lord told me last night!”“What did he tell you?” Saul asked.
[17]And Samuel told him, “Although you may think little of yourself, are you not the leader of the tribes of Israel? The lord has anointed you king of Israel.
[18]And the lord sent you on a mission and told you, ‘Go and completely destroy the sinners, the Amalekites, until they are all dead.’
[19]Why haven’t you obeyed the lord? Why did you rush for the plunder and do what was evil in the lord’s sight?”
[20]“But I did obey the lord,” Saul insisted. “I carried out the mission he gave me. I brought back King Agag, but I destroyed everyone else.
[21]Then my troops brought in the best of the sheep, goats, cattle, and plunder to sacrifice to the lord your God in Gilgal.”
[22]But Samuel replied,
“What is more pleasing to the lord:
    your burnt offerings and sacrifices
or your obedience to his voice?
Listen! Obedience is better than sacrifice,
and submission is better than offering the fat of rams.
[23]Rebellion is as sinful as witchcraft,
and stubbornness as bad as worshiping idols.
So because you have rejected the command of the lord,
he has rejected you as king.”

Refusing to Obey God or even his prophet brings Judgement.

1 Kings 20:35-36
[35]Meanwhile, the lord instructed one of the group of prophets to say to another man, “Hit me!” But the man refused to hit the prophet.
[36]Then the prophet told him, “Because you have not obeyed the voice of the lord, a lion will kill you as soon as you leave me.” And when he had gone, a lion did attack and kill him.

Romans 6:23
[23]For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord.

Romans 2:11-13
[11]For God does not show favoritism.
[12]When the Gentiles sin, they will be destroyed, even though they never had God’s written law. And the Jews, who do have God’s law, will be judged by that law when they fail to obey it.
[13]For merely listening to the law doesn’t make us right with God. It is obeying the law that makes us right in his sight.

God is not pleased with Disobedient Christians, and Carnal Christians.

Carnal Christians live to please God with their carnal nature which God hates.

Why God hates our Carnal nature?

Ephesians 2:1-3
[1]Once you were dead because of your disobedience and your many sins.
[2]You used to live in sin, just like the rest of the world, obeying the devil—the commander of the powers in the unseen world. He is the spirit at work in the hearts of those who refuse to obey God.
[3]All of us used to live that way, following the passionate desires and inclinations of our sinful nature. By our (very nature we were subject to God’s anger), just like everyone else.

Thats why those who are controlled by their carnal Nature doesnt Please God, because or very nature is sinful, Thats why God gave us his Nature the nature of the Holy Spirit, which pleases God,

But for those who have the knowledge of Christ and have turned turned away from him or disobeyed him,

the spirit if God will depart from that Person as a result,

Ephesians 2:2
[2]You used to live in sin, just like the rest of the world, obeying the devil—the commander of the powers in the unseen world.

(((((He is the spirit at work in the hearts of those who refuse to obey God.))))

The devil will take over that person like king Saul whom God rejectected because of his disobedience, and the spirit of rebellion or Disobedience be upon that person.
and as a result

1 Samuel 16:14
[14]Now the Spirit of the lord had left Saul, and the lord sent a tormenting spirit that filled him with depression and fear.

Since we Brothers And Sisters we have been Old enough or no longer babies in faith, we must accept this truth and obey The masters voice in deep reverance and fear of God.

Hebrews 4:6
[6]So God’s rest is there for people to enter, but those who first heard this good news failed to enter because they disobeyed God.

God is unchanging God, but because of this pop culture Sugar coated Christianity, they will by saying oh thats not the Jesus that i know he is loving tolerant doesnt look at your sins he knows our heart.

Hebrews 10:31
[31]It is a terrible thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

So let us have a repentant heart and obey him, God knows the weakness of this Body ask for his Grace to obey him even in the most difficult decision  in our life.

Hebrews 10:31,36-39
[31]It is a terrible thing to fall into the hands of the living God.
[36]Patient endurance is what you need now, so that you will continue to do God’s will. Then you will receive all that he has promised.
[37]“For in just a little while,
the Coming One will come and not delay.
[38]And my righteous ones will live by faith.
But I will take no pleasure in anyone who turns away.”
[39]But we are not like those who turn away from God to their own destruction. We are the faithful ones, whose souls will be saved.

Obedience is better than sacrifice.
end Godbless you.
